Salander, the main character prop agates some forms of violence while on the other hand, she is also a victim of violence. She uses violence as a defence mechanism for herself and others. There are both good and bad male characters in this novel. The good men show a higher level of respect for the females. The bad men in the novel are sadistic and perpetuate discrimination of women in the novel. For instance, they show disrespect for women by apply obscene words such as whore, bitch, and slut to refer to women. Some of the men are responsible for raping women, killing women, and beating them up. The press would rip him to shreds.
